Right before break, I landed a new job offer so we decided to go out and celebrate. We have been meaning to try this really good sushi place called Fugakyu right here in Coolidge Corner but never had a reason to go….until now.
Me and this really cool fish thing that is supposed to hold your chop sticks.
I got a Sapporo on draft to start.
And Selma got the Fugakyu Blossom – Belvedere Grapefruit Vodka, Campari Lime, Simple Syrup, Orange Bitter and Adami Prosecco. It was really strong.
We started off with the seaweed salad which was a perfect combination of savory and sour and some miso soup (not pictured but it looks like a bowl of soup).
Then we shared the Philly Maki, Fugakyu Maki, Spicy Snow Crab Maki, and the Spicy Tuna Maki.
Although a bit on the pricier side, this was some of the best Sushi we’ve had in Boston. Everything was very fresh and prepared well. If you are looking for some quality sushi, Fugakyu is definitely the place to go.
