Selma always talks about The Pour House Brunch and their amazing pumpkin pie pancakes whenever we walk past it and for some reason we’ve never been. One of our friends recently moved into an apartment right above the place so we decided to try and grab brunch with her and so I could finally try their amazing pumpkin pie pancakes. Also, something to note is that they are usually packed on Sunday mornings so go earlier if you can to get a table.
Selma ordered the Eggs Benedict with a side of pumpkin pancakes. The ham was kind of thick but everything else was really good.
Pictured here is the coveted Pumpkin Pie Pancake. It really did taste like pumpkin pie. When asked where the butter was, the waitress said that it was under the whipped cream. Kind of weird but whatever…I just don’t know what they were trying to hide…
I got The Pan Piglet -Two Blueberry pancakes, two eggs any style, two strips of bacon, two sausage links, a slice of ham and homefries. It even comes with a juice and coffee!!!
Even though it looks like a mess, it was so delicious. I was so full half way through but my inner piglet kept pushing on. I ended up eating the entire thing and feeling slightly proud/ashamed. If you are ever on Boylston St. on a Sunday morning, I would highly suggest stopping by for some mimosas and a piglet platter.
