After my morning ride yesterday, Selma and I were craving some serious sushi and bento goodness. We are always on the lookout for good, cheap sushi places and this little slice of heaven was right down the street from my apt.
U-Sushi seems to do mostly take out but we chose to eat-in this time. As you can see from the picture below, it’s literally a hole-in-the-wall place that has exactly 6 tables and 4 chairs at the bar. This is the entire restaurant. However, its decorated nicely and has a very welcoming and modern feel. Plus, it wasn’t busy at all and the staff were extremely welcoming and attentive.
I got the Beef Teriyaki Bento Box and Selma got the Sushi Bar Lunch Special that consists of 2 rolls of your choosing, miso soup, and a salad for $8.95!
First came the miso soup. It was very delicious and flavorful (we didn’t even need to add water as compared to some other places we’ve tried!)
Next came Selma’s salad. The dressing was spot on and delicious.
Selma ordered a philly roll and a spicy tuna roll. The spicy salmon roll wasn’t spicy but still good. The philly roll was phenomenal. The salmon was incredibly fresh and came with nice big chunks of it in the roll.
My Beef Teriyaki Bento was also very delicious. The meat was cooked beautifully and everything was seasoned appropriately. I also really liked the little green sword in my orange!
I loved everything about this place and best of all, the prices are fairly cheap! Combine that with their fresh sushi and you have a recipe for financial disaster.
